When Dan from The PhotoShoot Factory in downtown Pomona contacted me about co-hosting photography education workshops, I jumped at the opportunity. Every month downtown Pomona does an Art Walk where vendors come out to sell good, listen to live music and eat good food! The Art Walk is a great opportunity for the small businesses in the area to open their doors and meet new people from all over.
The first workshop was held at Dan's studio during February 10ths Art Walk. Dan had generously opened the doors to his studio and hosted an open door shoot. He set up three lighting stations and for 4 hours photographers were able to work with two professional model to work on posing, and lighting.
Studio work is not my speciality so it was so fun to be able to attend the first workshop as a guest as well as introduce myself to the attendees. I was pleasantly surprised with my results from my first time doing studio work due to Dan's guidance.
Next month I will be hosting what I am good at. HARSH. FULL SUN! So if you are one of those photographers who hides in the shadows, now is the time to meet me in the sun and shoot!
